OVERVIEW
Brushless High-Speed Slip Rings for Signal & Data Transmission
- Rotational speeds up to 10,000 RPM
- Flawless signal quality, stationary or rotating
- Up to 12 electrical channels
- Maintenance-free high-speed slip rings
ROTOCON miniature, high-speed slip rings are designed to mount at the end of a rotating workpiece and operate up to 10K RPM. They are offered with up to 12 electrical channels and 5.5 amps per channel in a compact size. The ROTOCON MM-Series of high-speed slip rings are capable of transmitting both power as well as signal/data within the same assembly.
ROTOCON miniature, high-speed slip rings are used for high-speed applications such as electric and IC engine test stands, medical devices, vehicle instrumentation, and many other industrial and scientific applications. They provide excellent electrical power and signal without fluctuation in power or signal, regardless of RPM or total revolutions.
ROTOCON miniature, high-speed slip rings are engineered for demanding applications in industries such as manufacturing, medical, and R&D. Built with durable materials and sealed for environmental protection, our high-speed slip rings offer exceptional reliability. Unlike traditional brushed slip rings, they require no maintenance and provide consistent, high-quality performance without interruptions, signal degradation, or frequent repairs.
ROTOCON miniature, high-speed slip rings are easily configurable to meet the exact needs of your high-speed application. Options include mechanical mounting, electrical terminations, and other value-add features. Additionally, Meridian Laboratory offers completely Custom Slip Rings in a cost and lead time efficient way for both low and high volumes.
For applications which require more than 12 electrical channels, see our MX-Series of Multi-Channel Slip Rings. Additionally, if your application requires rotational speeds greater than 10K RPM, see our UHS-Series of Ultra-High-Speed Slip Rings.

Why choose ROTOCON High-Speed Slip Rings?
Applications & Uses
Common Uses for High Speed Slip Rings
Electric Motor & IC Engine Testing
ROTOCON high-speed slip rings are commonly used on motor/engine test stands to measure vibration, stress/strain, and other signal level readings from rotating equipment. They provide consistent electrical signals without fluctuation over time or during rotation.
Medical Devices & Research
ROTOCON high-speed slip rings are oftentimes used on intravascular ultrasound and photoacoustic catheter imaging or pullback applications combined with fiber optic rotary joints to provide clean imagery, reliably and consistently. Other applications include high-speed centrifuges and small specimen testing environments where sensitive electrical signals are transmitted.
Transportation Data Acquisition
ROTOCON high-speed slip rings are commonly used on locomotive and vehicle axles, as well as helicopter/drone blades to transmit data for acquisition systems. They provide a perfect electrical contact regardless of rotational speed or total number of revolutions.
