ROTOCON environmentally sealed slip rings are designed for harsh environments, providing dustproof, waterproof, and maintenance-free operation. Engineered for IP-rated protection up to IP68, our ROTOCON marine slip rings withstand direct and indirect exposure to water, dust, debris, and extreme conditions, making them ideal for oceanographic, underwater, subsea, and washdown applications.

Are ROTOCONs waterproof / dustproof?

All ROTOCONs are environmentally sealed and resist incidental water ingress and high humidity. Most series of ROTOCONs can be customized up to an ingress protection rating of IP66. For heavy washdown, oceanographic, underwater, and other harsh environment applications, the MXO Series offers additional ingress protection up to IP68.

Can a ROTOCON be used underwater?

Almost all ROTOCON brushless slip rings are resistant to water ingress and can be configured to meet an ingress protection rating of IP66. For underwater applications, select models are available with an IP68 rating. For the best water and dust resistance performance, explore our MXO Series. Can a single ROTOCON be used to transmit both power and signal?

Yes, ROTOCON rotary electrical connectors are extremely capable and successful at transmitting both power and signal within the same assembly, minimizing interference or crosstalk.
